THE BLUE BUTTERFLY

It is so true and so deep in my heart. For now, I can’t really express to you my words and thoughts about the meaning of this work but something that I know for sure is that am starting something exiting.   Lately I have been creating art using the idea of working around this beautiful 93 yrs old woman who had over the years a big impact on me and on my choices through out my life.  Her name is Claire and she is my mother.  For the past 5 years she has been suffering from an illness called Alzheimers; a desease that is robing people from their memory. Through my work I want to make sure that we are not forgetting who really she is and how she became this  woman that she is today just like a fragile butterfly flying freely to find peace!  This is why I am starting a series of compositions about her.  In one word I can say that she represents kindness.  Through the creative process I want to know, to understand and to discover more about her as a woman and how she became who she is with the many  challenges that she faced throughout life.  This  digital art work was created on my iPad air2.
